Inch by inch, colorful scraps of fabric become a beautiful decorative basket you’ll love!
Using fabrics from once-treasured pieces of clothing will make your basket a true keepsake that is meaningful as well as functional. Join us as Springfield artist Jana Barton teaches us to create colorful fabric coils and then form them into one-of-a-kind baskets, complete with your own embellishments. This will be a fun, enjoyable and relaxing get-together!

Supplies you’ll need:
About 1/2 yd. of 44-45″ cotton fabric, cut into 1″ strips. This 1/2 yd. can be a mix of any colors or amounts. Example. 1/8 yd. of one color, 1/8 yd. of another color, etc. as long as you have at least 1/2 yd. of 44-45″ fabric in any mix of colors that look good to you. Small prints work better than large prints, and solids are fine. Try to have at least 3 – 5 different fabric colors or designs.
Spool of matching thread, any kind.
Any accessories/bling you want to attach, like buttons, beads, broaches, etc.
